Marvels of the Maya
HIGHLIGHTS:
Antigua with its vibrant colours, cobbled streets and imposing volcano backdrop is a great colonial town to explore on foot. In the Guatemalan highlands try out your bargaining skills with brightlyclothed Maya at the vibrant Chichicastenango market. Descend through volcano-dotted valleys to reach the stunning Lake Atitlan - its shores flanked by attractive villages. A short flight north takes you to Flores the base from which you will explore the soaring jungle-clad pyramids of Tikal.
English-speaking Belize has a fascinating blend of culture and history with a diversity of landscapes. In the district of Cayo discover the hidden Mayan ruins of Caracol and Xunantunich before breathing in the beauty of the Mountain Pine Ridge. Reaching the Caribbean coast at Belize City, board your boat to Ambergris Caye for time to relax at the beach with the opportunity to snorkel in the crystal blue Caribbean Sea.
