Dogsled Quebec

Feel the exhilaration of speeding across the snow as you pilot your own sledge pulled by Siberian huskies through the stunning winter wilderness of Quebec. A tour for those seeking adventure and new experiences in a picturesque landscape of snow-laden forests, frozen lakes and icy rivers.

Art of Mushing
From the colourful town of Montreal, we head out to the Charlevoix region of Eastern Quebec to begin our husky adventure. An area renowned for its splendid forest covered mountains, frozen lakes and waterways, all brushed with a generous covering of deep, white snow. In the hands of our expert guides, we will quickly master the techniques required to guide our dog teams through this pristine wilderness.

Dog Sledding Safari
Travelling on average about 30 kilometres per day, we make occasional stops to clip on our snowshoes and explore hidden spots that are normally inaccessible - even to a dog sled! In the evenings, after taking care of the dogs, we can relax in our heated camps and enjoy delicious local specialities such as caribou (reindeer) stew and maple syrup pancakes, all prepared by our guides.

Quebec City & Icehotel
At the end of our 4-day safari, we head to Quebec City, beautifully located on the banks of the St Lawrence, this historic town positively comes alive in the winter months. Here we have a free day to try some alternative winter activities such as snowmobiling or skiing as well as the chance to take a guided tour around the world famous Icehotel.

A good level of fitness is required and a willingness to participate in all aspects of husky care is essential. We also take in the highlights of winter Montreal and Quebec City.
